Privacy Policy
What we collect on this website and how we use it.
Who we are
This policy explains how Cognifence, Inc. (“Cognifence,” “we,” “us”) handles personal data collected through this website. Cognifence, Inc. is the controller of that data. You can reach us at contact@cognifence.ai.
What we collect
Information you give us: when you contact us or use the contact form, we collect the details you choose to send, such as your name, work email, company and message. Technical data collected automatically: like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers may record basic data such as IP address, browser and device type, and the pages and times you visited, for security, performance and reliability.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to and follow up on your inquiry, to operate, secure and improve the site, and to meet our legal obligations. If you write to us about working at Cognifence, we use your details to consider your interest and to reply. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Legal bases
Where data-protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to inquiries and keeping the site secure, on your consent where we ask for it, and on compliance with our legal obligations.
Sharing
We share personal data only with service providers that host and help us operate the site and our communications, under confidentiality obligations, and where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Our main providers are Vercel (website hosting) and Formspree (which receives messages sent through the contact form and passes them to our email). Our providers may process data in other countries; where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers. We do not sell your data.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising cookies. Any cookies or local storage are strictly necessary for the site to function.
Retention
We keep inquiry and contact details for as long as needed to handle your request and our ongoing relationship, and for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, after which we delete or anonymize them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email contact@cognifence.ai. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
US state privacy rights
If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and use, to ask us to delete or correct it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, email contact@cognifence.ai.
Children
This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
